The annual Veterans Day tribute at Rockdale High School, a highlight for veterans, students and the community, is set for 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11 in the high school gym.
Supt. Dr. Denise Monzingo said the community and-surrounding areas, are invited to attend.
“We ask everyone to join Rockdale ISD students, faculty and staff in honoring and thanking all who have served in the United States Armed Forces,” she said.
As in years past, the 2019 Veterans Day tribute will be a joint effort with students from all four Rockdale ISD campuses participating.
Bands, elementary students, intermediate students and campus school clubs will perform for veterans, their families and the public.
The ceremony will be followed by the traditional luncheon for veterans and their spouses in the Rock-dale Junior-High Commons.
“As always, we look forward to honoring those who sacrificed so much while protecting our nation, and remembering those who made the ultimate sacrifice,” Dr. Monzingo said.
“We hope to see you there Nov. 11,” she said.
