Cynthia Ferrell received The Recognize Good Legendary Volunteer award recognizing ordinary individuals who go to extraordinary lengths for others. This award is presented to employees of TyRex Group through the Recognize Good organization where Ferrell works. She helps coordinate the MARC Ride sponsored by the Bad to the Bone Riders motorcycle group to benefit special needs adults at MARC. Ferrell and the motorcycle group also sponsor The Buddy Oney Toy Run each year. The toy run provides toys for Milam County children at Christmas. As a Legend recipient, Ferrell will have a commemorative brick placed along Lady Bird Lake in her honor. The Legendary Award comes with a pay-it-forward donation of $1,000 to MARC. Recognize Good selects 10 employees of TyRex each year for this award. These Legends are eligible to enter the Say Thanks, Austin campaign where the community has the opportunity to express its gratitude for these individuals by casting Thank Yous. The person with the most the most Thank Yous at the end of the campaign earns a $10,000 pay-it-forward donation to their organization.
