We made it to September, whew! With Labor Day next week, I am hoping for those crisp, fall evenings to approach quickly.
As fall is getting closer, some may be getting ready to do a little closet cleaning. If you have donations for the Milano VFD Ladies Auxiliary annual fall rummage sale, hold on to those for right now.
Since the group did not get to host its fall fundraiser, the storage areas for all of the donations are full to the brim. Rather than dropping items off at the fire department, please hold on to them and the group will let you know when they are ready for them.
BURN BAN—A reminder, Milam County is still under a burn ban.
PRAYERS—Please keep Bro. Dave Barclay, pastor at Milano First Baptist Church, in your prayers, as he suffered a cardiac event and is in the hospital. We all hope he gets well soon.
