—Almost from the moment the first shovel of dirt was turned on the new Tiger Field there was “Internet-coffee shop” talk to the effect that there wasn’t enough room on the re-oriented site to include visitor side bleachers. There was. The visitor bleachers went up during the past couple of weeks and they will get used Oct. 5 when Big Blue hosts Manor New Tech in the first action on the new field. Before that, the home folks can visit from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday in an open house to show off the stadium. There will be tours and a ribbon cutting.
