Rockdale Earth Day’s Yard of the Month for August goes to Belinda Hillhouse and George Weidman at 707 Middleton. “You can find all sorts of beautiful and cool plants at this address. Perennials and annuals mix with a variety of crape myrtle trees, desert willows, desert plants, baskets and pots, and even bogs,” said Rockdale Earth Day Chairman David Melton. Belinda and George use recycled water in their gardening and have several large, as well as a few small, rain containers and tanks. The backyard also includes a greenhouse. It is truly a wonderful yard, which reflects great care and work,” he added. Belinda and George will receive a $25 gift card to Bloomers Garden Center in Elgin
