FALL IN NEW ENGLAND?—This must be Vermont or New Hampshire, right? How about Maine? Not even close, it’s Sheckles Lane (County Road 429A) just north of Rockdale during another spectacular fall in the Central Texas area. A warmer-than-usual fall turned seasonally cold Thanksgiving day but the right combination of early fall warm afternoons and cool-but-not-too-cold nights teamed up to turn the area red, gold, purple and many more exotic colors.
