Milano’s Tyson Arledge just missed out on a trip to the National Finals Rodeo when he finished fifth in calf roping at the Texas High School State Finals Rodeo in Abilene. Arledge, 16, who also competes in team roping, has a long history of standing out on the Lone Star stage, having made the trip to state last season after a stellar junior high career in which he won the all-around cowboy title. He was also national champion in goat tying. Former Rockdale resident Blaine Cox captured the all-around title at the state rodeo this year while Rockdale’s Andrew Jenkins also competed in bareback riding. 60p1.jpg
