Center photo, nobody had a bigger night of big plays, nor a more numerically appropriate one, than Tiger senior Patrick Trejo. Trejo, who wears No. 48, scored one Rockdale touchdown on a 48-yard TD pass from QB Brinkley. He set up another by returning a Duck fumble—what else?—48 yards. Upper left, Rockdale’s Pete Heintze (59) corrals Taylor quarterback Jeremy Snyder. Bottom left, linebacker Ramsey Zinn (65) leads the charge as Big Blue stops tough-running Duck back Raymond Rodriguez, who is somewhere in the pile of bodies. Upper right, Rockdale junior Austin Caffey was the game’s leading receiver, hauling in four passes for 61 yards. But Caffey’s biggest play almost won the game in the first overtime. He took the ball away from Taylor’s Justin Deary inside the Blue 10 and was on the way to a potential game-winning 90-yard TD fumble when Taylor’s Snyder tracked him down at the Tiger 3. Below right, Halloween was still 19 days away but you couldn’t have told it on the Tiger sidelines as a ‘sure-nuff’ tarantula made an appearance. 60p3.jpg
