Around 20 riders and a wagon took to the trail, or road rather, for a ride that began in the Hanover community and ended with the annual Gause Founders Day parade. Several more riders joined the group at the Gause school before continuing in the parade. The part of the orginal ride from Hanover has been a tradition, started by Henry Davidson, that began several years ago. The burn ban for Milam County has been lifted. Burning is always prohibited in the county's municipalities.
