SUPER ELITE— Congratulations to Thorndale Bulldog senior guard Kaden Kovar who was recently selected to the THSCA 2A Basketball Super Elite Team.
DOUBLES CHAMPS— Rockdale Tiger varsity tennis players Mason Lillard and Brody Willard took home first-place honors in boys doubles last week in the Thrall Tournament.
REGIONAL TOURNAMENT— Both the Thorndale Bulldog and the Thorndale Lady Bulldog varsity golf teams will be participating in the regional tournament in Corpus Christi this week.

The 109th Texas Federation of Music Clubs held April 4-6 at the Crown Plaza Airport Hotel in San Antonio with an “April Showers Us With Music” theme.
The Rockdale branch of Texas Pi Epsilon recently donated $651 to the local Pack Pal program. Accepting the donation are Jocelyn Lewis and Pi Epsilon member Dee Maines.
The District 8 horse judging contest was held April 6 in College Station. The junior team of Shelby Renaud, Wayde Woods and Callie Morris received second place.

Gerri was born June 15, 1933, in Detroit, Michigan.
CAMERON—Clement James Tomek, 100, of Cameron entered eternal life on Divine Mercy Sunday, April 7, 2024. He died peacefully at home surrounded by family.
