You say you're bored, kid? Not anymore

By Christine Granados
Reporter Staff

If you think there’s nothing to do in Rockdale then you’re just not looking hard enough.
Vacation bible schools and the school districts summer programs alone are enough to fill a kid’s calendar, but when you add up all the other stuff there is to do in town and Milam County then no parent needs to hear the dreaded “I’m bored” summer mantra from their children.
This list I’ve compiled is by no means all-inclusive because just as sure as I wrote something down is as sure as I’ve left something out. If I have left your club, church or organization off this list email me, call or write the Reporter and we’ll be sure to add you to the list of summer fun.

Possibly an article on how gasoline prices are going to affect summer activities for youngsters. Higher prices for gasoline plus the fact that a lot of the activites listed have fees involved. Famlies that can afford the activities for their children vs families that cannot should be the focus and how to get more families/children involved! My two cents worth. Have a wonderful day and I really enjoy your articles. (Tell Mike Brown Jamie Terry says hi and hope to see him at the reunion in September!)
