CAMERON—Jerry Louis Kostroun Jr., 76, of Cameron died peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, Feb. 19, 2018, in a Waco hospital.

Rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 22, at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Marak with Rev. Dimitrij Colan-kin officiating. Burial will follow at St. Monica’s Church Cemetery in Cameron.

The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21, at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron.

Mr. Kostroun was born Jan. 8, 1942, in Cameron to Gertrude Ann (Jistel) and Jerry Louis Kostroun Sr.

He was raised in the Marak community of Milam County and graduated from C.H. Yoe High School in Cameron.

A retiree from Alcoa in Rock-dale, Mr. Kostroun was a rancher, farmer, and caterer.

He married Agnes Polansky on Aug. 31, 1963.

Mr. Kostroun was a member of St. Monica’s Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus No. 12601 and K.J.T. Society No.

39. Additionally, he served as a Milam County 4-H adult leader and was on the board of directors for the Milam County Junior Livestock Association.

Mr. Kostroun was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Ronald Kostroun and Bernard Kostroun.

Survivors are his wife, Agnes Kostroun of Cameron; two sons, David Kostroun and wife Jennifer of Cameron, Jerry L. Kostroun III of Mathis; three daughters, Theresa Harrison and husband Cameron of Wichita Falls, Cynthia Kostroun of Copperas Cove, Deborah Kostroun of Mahwah, New Jersey; a brother, Phillip Kostroun of Canyon Lake; two sisters, Kathleen Harborth of Wimberly, Jennifer Dixon of Rogers; eight grandchildren, Sara Holcombe and husband Bill, Kristan Wells and husband Justin, Logan Kostroun and wife Katherine, Madeline Kostroun, Collin Kostroun, Dylan Kostroun, Joshua Kostroun and Victoria Rizzotti; and two great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Preston Holcombe.

Memorial may be made to the St. Monica’s Catholic Church Altar Restoration Project.
