Memorial services for Benny Rogers, 76, of Rockdale will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 24, 2018,
at Meadow-brook Baptist Church in Rockdale with Pastor Stephen Ammons officiating. There will be no visitation.
Mr. Rogers died Sunday, May 20, at Renaissance Villa in Rockdale.
He was born July 23, 1941, in Gause to T.J. and Mary Marie (Little) Rogers.
He attended school in Gause and graduated from Rockdale High School and lived in Rock-dale the past 65 years.
On Dec. 30, 1967, he married Elizabeth Pounders in Cameron.
Mr. Rogers was a self-employed building contractor and owned B&F Framing for 37 years. He retired in 1997. He had also worked a number of years at Woodson Lumber in Caldwell.
Mr. Rogers was a member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church in Rockdale.
He was preceded in death by his father, T.J. on Oct. 2, 1982; his mother, Mary Marie on June 25, 2002; and a brother, Joe Kenneth Rogers on April 27, 2001
Survivors are his wife, Elizabeth Rogers of Rockdale; a son, Waylon Rogers of Pleasanton; a daughter, Kelly Schulz and husband Randy of Lexington; a sister, Betty Brown of Rockdale; and five grandchildren, Rhett Schulz, Matthew Rogers, Ashley Schulz, Bodie Rogers and Daryl Rogers.
