LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

Thanks for editorial and keeping public informed

Dear editor,

‘The Big News’ editorial was needed and on point.

The public should not be shut out of news that took place previously.

Please continue to report the good and the bad in our community.

The public deserves it and we respect you for it.

Outgoing Miss Thorndale reflects on past activities

Dear editor,

This opportunity to be Miss. Thorndale 2017 has been one like no other.

It has not only provided me with the chance to get closer to this wonderful community but also to realize how unique Thorndale is.

Having grown up here I’ve got to see and experience firsthand just how different the community of Thorndale is and this has made me realize how inspiring it is to be a part of such a warm-hearted, welcoming, and devoted town like Thorndale.

It feels odd to not only pass on the title of Miss Thorndale but also the title of being a Thorndale High School student, considering I’ve been a part of this school for 15 years starting in pre-k.

Regardless as I leave behind this chapter of my life and start the next at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor I will take with me the values that this town has taught me to have.

As sad as I am to leave behind the comfort of Thorndale I’m extremely excited to see where this next chapter leads to, and I cannot express how blessed I feel to be able to say that a community such as Thorndale’s will forever be my home.

So, with this being my last opportunity, I’d like to thank the community of Thorndale for not only supporting me but every individual here in Thorndale and making this a place we will always remember.

Kylie Buchanan
