Rosalinda “Rosie” Flores, 68, of Rockdale died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2018, at Little River Hospital in Rock-dale.
Services are set for 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rockdale. Graveside services will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Rockdale.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. with the rosary at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.
Mrs. Flores was born April 19, 1950, in Laredo to Eduardo and Dora (Rodriquez) Lerma. She lived most of her life in Rockdale.
On Aug. 28, 1965, she married Macario Flores at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rockdale.
Mrs. Flores worked as a hair dresser and was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was active on several committees. She helped to organize the Spanish Mass and served on La Escuelita Association in Rockdale.
Mrs. Flores was also a member of The Victory Church of the Brazos Valley in Hearne.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Rolando Lerma, Edward Lerma and Pablo Lerma.
Survivors are her husband, Macario Flores of Rockdale; three sons, Julian Flores of Hearne, Michael Flores of Del Rio and Johnny Alvarado of Houston; two daughters, Angela Flores of Hearne and Judy Alvarado of Houston; and a brother, Jesus Lerma and wife Lillie of San Antonio; also, 20 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Alex Flores, Joshua Flores, Phillip Proctor, Michael Alvarado, Ariel Alvarado and Cheyanne Blattner.
Honorary pallbearers are Janie Flores, Xavier Flores, Jose Orozco and Braxton Moore.
