Leslie Moerbe, 59, of Thorndale died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2018, in Thorndale.

Funeral services are set for 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rock-dale with Pastor Matt Higginbotham of First Baptist Church in Rockdale officiating. Cremation will follow services.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, at the funeral home.

Mr. Moerbe was born Oct. 21, 1958, in Taylor to Rena Mae (Hilton) and Paul Gerhard Moerbe Jr.

On May 19, 1990, he married Brenda Joyce Bailey in Thorndale.

Mr. Moebe retired in 2010 from Rockdale Sand-ow & Southern Railroad in Rockdale.

He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Thorndale.

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul G. Moerbe Jr. on Oct. 22, 2014.

Surviving are his wife, Brenda Joyce Moerbe of Thorndale; his mother, Rena Mae Moerbe of Thorndale; a stepdaughter, Andrea Bailey and husband Michael of Thorndale; a stepson, John Andrews of Thorndale; a brother, Gary Moerbe and wife Anita of Taylor; four grandchildren, Kayley, Brittany and husband Cameron, Whitney and Mikey; and four great-grandchildren, Lyndon, Addyson, Jocelynn and Wreston.
