James Robert “Jim Bob” Booker, 63, of Rockdale died Aug. 30, 2026, in Austin.
He was born June 13, 1963, in Marshall to Roger Mills Booker and Stella Jane Marwitz Booker.
He was a graduate of Rockdale High School Class of 1981.
Mr. Booker worked in the construction trades.
He was married to Jackie Jones Booker.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie; his maternal grandparents, Alfred Marwitz and Louise Nauert Marwitz; his paternal grandparents, Thomas Booker and Nina McNiel Booker; and a nephew, Jeremy Esteban Hernandez.
Survivors include his parents, Roger and Stella Booker; two sisters, Becky Lynn Booker of Austin and Heidi Jeannine Booker of Nantes, France; a brother, Byron Lee Booker and wife Samantha of Kyle; nieces and nephews Anna Booker Fritsch and Benjamin Booker Fritsch, both of Nantes, France, Eric Dalton Booker of Los Angeles, California, and Felicia Asidao Vijitchanton of Austin; and a great-nephew, Leo Vijitchanton Hernandez of Austin.
A family visitation with refreshments, sharing of memories and a celebration of life service will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, at Peace Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall. Rev. Patrick Welton will officiate.
The procession will depart for Hope Lutheran Memorial Park in Buckholts at 1 p.m. for interment.
