BVR regular trash services for November 24th will be picked up on the Nov. 25th and the regular Nov. 25th service will be picked up on Nov. 26th.

Early Release Due to Inclement Weather   To ensure that our students and our staff who live out of town arrive home before the major portions of the storm hits, we will release school today on the following schedule. Buses will arrive at stops one hour early. There will be no ACE afterschool.

Boil Water Notice

The City has issued a boil water notice for all City of Rockdale water customers on the low pressure plain.  If you have questions, please call City Hall at 512-446-2511.  We will let your know when this notice is lifted. 

Ground Storage Tank Maintenance

The Public Works Department will be evaluating our ability to take a Ground Storage Tank (GST) offline for needed maintenance.   Our first evaluation will begin this Saturday (10/29/2022) and run through most of next week.  Our goal is to make this an uneventful experience for our customers.

Felony cases recently resolved in 20th Judicial District Court

Under the direction of Bill Torrey, the Milam County District Attorney, the following felony cases were recently resolved in Judge John W.

No water for Sand Oak and Allday on Thursday

Sand Oak and Allday will be without water from 8am - 4pm tomorrow, October 20 for water main repair.

New countywide burn ban, effective at 12:01 p.m., Friday, October 7, 2022

Commissioners: The Chief of the Chiefs requests a new burn ban be implemented before the weekend.  Therefore, attached is a new County wide burn ban, effective at 12:01 p.m., Friday, October 7, 2022.  This matter will be on the October 11, 2022 agenda for further consideration.

BUDGET INN IS CLOSED

Judge Jerry Waggoner fined the Budget Inn $32,000 for bulding code violations. The owner offered to close the motel for a reduced fine. The Rockdale City Council has adopted standards that allowed for this enforcement. This decision will not affect the China Buffet Restaurant.
