POLICE AND FIRE REPORT

Police recorded two felony arrests over the past week and two minor accidents with one being a one-vehicle rollover with minor injuries Wednesday on Ackerman. The other occurred Friday on US 79. Five tickets were issued over the past week. Officers responded to 219 calls with 127 of them 911 calls.

MILAM COUNTY JAIL LOG

Jail log lists all the people charged with offenses though the county jail in Cameron. Chargers may change during the process. Persons are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law.

GRAND JURY REPORT

The following 35 cases were presented to the grand jury and indicted as true bills with no “no bills” on Dec. 17: • Martin Salinas Jr., 36, Bartlett, third degree felony, bail jumping – fail to appear.

St. John’s Christmas Eve Services scheduled

St. John’s United Methodist Church invites everyone to come celebrate Christmas Eve and the birth of Jesus Christ. Services will be held at 4 and 6 p.m. in the church sanctuary. Face coverings are required and social distancing will be practiced.

Depot Museum and Heavenly Treasures give holiday hours

The Historical Society Depot Museum will be closed Dec. 26 and 27 and Jan. 2 and 3. They will resume weekend openings on Jan. 9-10. Hours are: Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday 1 to 4 p.m. Heavenly Treasures will be closed Dec. 29 and 30. The store will reopen on Jan. 5 and 6 from 9 a.m.
