100 YEARS AGO.... The Texas Highway Commission designated the east-west road (Cameron Avenue) running through Rockdale as a state highway. The entire roadway from Milano to Taylor received that designation.

GAS LEAK—The 1700 block of Pecos was blocked off for just over three hours Monday due to a natural gas leak. The was in effect for the block. Atmos Energy repaired the leak. leak, in front of HealthPoint Clinic was reported at 12:01 p.m. At 6:42 a.m.

We took a short respite this past week. The first in awhile. It’s not easy, or at least I find that it’s not real easy, to rest during this pandemic. We have found ourselves almost overnight living in a different culture, one that most do not care for.
