Tragedies are worse with children involved

How do we even wrap our heads around the Texas tragedy that took place over the weekend? As I'm writing this, 27 girls and counselors have died at Camp Mystic including the owner who died rescuing girls, but the total death toll is over 90 so far.

Last weekend should have been a time to recognize the country’s independence and of the celebrations that July the 4th normally brings, but that was changed in the blink of an eye as disaster struck.

On the Fourth of July, America has much to celebrate O ur beloved country again marks the Fourth of July, and we have much to celebrate, not the least of which is our longevity. We are 247 years old, far too old to adorn a cake with candles. But not to worry. Fireworks are a handy substitute.
