Could switching the clocks soon come to an end?

On Sunday, people across North America will adjust their clocks, turning them back one hour and thus returning Daylight Saving Time back to Standard Time. When spring arrives anew, the clocks once again will move forward an hour. This phenomenon has taken place for more than 50 years.

Boil Water Notice

The City has issued a boil water notice for all City of Rockdale water customers on the low pressure plain.  If you have questions, please call City Hall at 512-446-2511.  We will let your know when this notice is lifted. 

Ground Storage Tank Maintenance

The Public Works Department will be evaluating our ability to take a Ground Storage Tank (GST) offline for needed maintenance.   Our first evaluation will begin this Saturday (10/29/2022) and run through most of next week.  Our goal is to make this an uneventful experience for our customers.

HEALTH UPDATE— Samuel Ferguson V, son of Deputy Sam Ferguson IV, told The Reporter that his father had surgery to wire his jaw shut and is awake and communicating through writing. “The gunshot to his face has caused him to have to have his jaw wired shut due to his jaw being shattered.

Early voting times, locations

Early voting began on Monday of this week in Milam County and continues through Dec. 4. Early voting locations are Patterson Civic Center, Rockdale, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Milam County Clerk’s Office, Cameron, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Buckholts Community Center, Buckholts, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
