July 4 flooding

In the immediate aftermath of the devastating July 4 weekend flooding that killed at least 136 people, a time when search and rescue teams were overwhelmed by the debris and heartbreak along the banks of the Guadalupe River, when confusion and shock reigned, one policy change was crystal clear.

Ithink we ran totally out of turkey on Thanksgiving Day. There was one helping of my mashed potatoes left and Noelia gave me a second piece of chocolate cake with chocolate frosting, and I ate mashed potatoes and gravy for breakfast and had the cake for dessert.
