PICKING CIRCLE— Milam Arts Society hosts a “picking circle” on the second Tuesday of each month at Moon Brew Coffee Co. from 7 to 9 p.m. Pickers from all over are led by Charlie Weyler for a night of live music. The next big event is a Mardi Gras-themed Open Mik Night on Tuesday, February 17 at 7 p.m. featuring beignets, traditional king cake, red beans and rice and more.

Rockdale Band Boosters will hold their annual Spaghetti Supper fundraiser on Monday, Feb. 2, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. in the junior high commons. Tickets are $15 and plates include spaghetti, salad, rolls and a drink. The evening will feature band performances, senior cake auction and a silent auction.

St. Paul BBQ fundraiser set for Feb. 1

St. Paul Lutheran Church and School will hold its annual BBQ dinner and live auction fundraiser on Sunday, Feb. 1, at the Thorndale Fireman’s Hall on FM 486 North. The meal will consist of brisket, barbecue sauce, noodles, pinto beans, potato salad, pickles, onions and bread.
