Roundup serves 200 families

Christmas Roundup has been serving area families for over 50 years, and supports families from Rockdale, Milano and Gause. This year Christmas Roundup ended up serving over 200 families and at least 850 individual people.

First Friday Coffee at the Lucy Hill Patterson Memorial Library will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Jan. 3. The sponsor will be the Milam County Master Naturalists El Camino Real Chapter, and all are invited. The City of Rockdale will hold curbside bulk waste pickup on Jan.

Accidents • Ofc. Jacobs responded to the Meadowbrook Baptist Church for a minor two-vehicle accident with no injuries on Dec. 16 at 9:11 a.m. • Sgt. Lentz responded to 307 West US 79 for a two-vehicle accident on Dec. 18 at 7:56 a.m. • Sgt. Lentz responded to Wilcox at Cameron Ave.

Jail log lists all people charged with offenses through the county jail in Cameron. Charges may change during the process. Persons are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law.

Dips are always good to have around the holidays. Here are a few that sound good to me that can be done at the last minute if necessary. Here’s one that is more of a spread than a dipping sauce. Spread it on toasted baguette or crackers.
