According to the weather app on my phone, it’s going to be cold again soon. Here are some crockpot recipes so dinner will be ready when you get home.

County under burn ban

Milam County is under a burn ban. We are too dry and it has been too windy to burn brush or trash. Please be mindful of this when you get the urge to burn that brush pile. NYC TRIP— Our trip to New York City was fantastic!

A new workshop series coming to Rockdale helps mourners transform grief into joyful living. Walking the Mourners Path workshops runs February-March 2026. Attendees share their personal grief stories in a series of eight 90-minute small group sessions shepherded by commissioned facilitators.

Library hosts Communities for Recovery Jan. 29

Communities For Recovery will host prevention training with free Narcan on Thursday, Jan. 29, in two classes: noon to 1 p.m. or 6 to 7 p.m. at the Lucy Hill Patterson Memorial Library. In 2015, Texas Senate Bill 1462 was passed, putting a standing order into effect.
