RISD CTE programs focus on plant science

To ensure students are prepared for in-demand, high-skill, high-wage careers in Texas, Rockdale ISD offers 12 programs of study that include occupations that meet regional labor market criteria that include projected job growth, annual job openings and the state median wage.

DIVISION 1 RATINGS

DIVISION 1 RATINGS—The RHS Big Blue Band participated in the Brazos Valley Marching Festival at Caldwell HS on Saturday, Oct. 2, and earned a Superior (Division 1) rating from the judges. The band also participated at the Troy Marching Band Invitational on Wednesday, Oct.

RPD made six arrests last week

The Rockdale Police Department responded to three accidents during the past week. • Officer Harden responded to Bell/Ackerman for a two-vehicle accident with injuries blocking the roadway on Saturday.

FIRE CALLS

Rockdale VFD Responded to: • FM 908/CR 304 for hay bales on fire on Tuesday. • 855 Ackerman for a report of a smell of gas on Tuesday. • CR 322 with AMR and the Milam County Sheriff’s Department for a car vs. golf cart accident with injuries.

MVFD holds fundraiser for Whitmore The Milano Volunteer Fire Department will hold a benefit for Second Assistant Chief Robert Whitmore on Sunday, Nov, 7 at 11:30 a.m. All proceeds will go towards his medical expenses and treatments.
