Book signing by Rockdale native Ray

Annie Laura Ray, graduate of RHS class of 1975, will hold a book signing on Saturday, Oct. 16, at 10 a.m. as part of the 2021 Rockdale Fair and Rodeo.

RCS food pantry announces Oct. dates

The Rockdale Christian Services has announced their October dates which will be as follows: Thursday and Friday, Oct. 14 and 15, and Thursday and Friday, Oct. 28 and 29. Hours will be from 10 a.m. to 12-noon.

Miss Rockdale Fair contestants, Fair updates

As the Rockdale Fair and Rodeo takes place next week, here are some updates: Carnival Wednesday, Oct. 13, and Thursday, Oct. 14, the rides will be open from 6 to 10 p.m. and wristbands are $25. On Friday, Oct. 15, rides will be open from 5 to 10 p.m. and wristbands will be $30. Saturday, Oct.

There are many things vying to grab the attention of our students. Video games have become more and more realistic, and information is right at every student’s fingertips. Now, more than ever before, we have to work hard to have students realize the importance of the classes they are in.

FORTY YEARS, THREE GENERATIONS—Pruett Insurance is celebrating their 40th year in business. The insurance agency was started by Jo Pruett in 1981 from the ground up. She still remembers who her first customer was and they are still with the agency 40 years later.

RPD Officer Parker makes felony arrest on Saturday

Rockdale Police Department’s Office Catherine Parker arrested Charles Ray Porter, 30, of Rockdale at 7:18 p.m. Saturday on two local warrants for sexual assault and burglary of habitation.
