Lost and found A recent game warden academy graduate was enjoying a weekend of camping and fishing at Fayette Lake before reporting to his first duty station later this month in Starr County. One Sunday morning, the new game warden came across a small aluminum boat that was abandoned at the dam.

This summer, Milam County 4-H members participated in multiple activities because summer camps were not an option. These activities were safe and easy to do at home with their families. One activity this year was the Tie Dye T-shirt Contest.

AUSTIN—Texas residents are now among those across the nation receiving mysterious seeds delivered by mail in tiny bags marked as jewelry Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller is urging Texans to take extreme precautions when receiving unsolicited seed packets from China.

Cake auction and fish fry set for Saturday, Meet the Tigers on Monday

RHS will be hosting an online cake auction this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The auction will be held on the Rockdale Tiger Athletics Facebook Page. RHS Athletics will hold a drive-thru fish fry at 6 p.m. Each plate will be $10, which includes fish, hush puppies, and coleslaw.

 From County Judge Steve Young Wednesday night: Good news this evening as we only have 1 new confirmed case to report.   This has not happened in a long time.  Also two people were released from the hospital and the one remaining is improving, albeit in serious condition.

FIVE NEW COVID-19 CASES

From County Judge Steve Young Tuesday night: Today we have five new cases to report, however two of the five test results were ten days old when we got the results.  So they were of little value.  Hopefully, our new testing program will solve some of these problems.

COVID COUNT 327, UP 13

From County Judge Steve Young Monday evening: Today we had 13 new confirmed cases reported for the county.  This is due in part to the state’s electronic lab reporting system was down for maintenance.  However, there are still a lot of cases in the sState and the numbers continue to go up.

NO VIRUS UPDATE OVER WEEKEND

From County Judge Steve Young Sunday night: We have not had received any new confirmed Milam County cases reported over the weekend. However, the state’s electronic lab reporting system was down for maintenance this weekend and we suspect that is one reason we have no new confirmed cases to report.

EIGHT NEW CASES ON FRIDAY

  From County Judge Steve Young on Friday evening: Today we have 8 new confirmed cases to report.  This is double what we had yesterday.  One person was released from the hospital today, but one of the three left in the hospital is still on a ventilator.
