RPD makes two felony arrests, responds to two traffic accidents

Rockdale Police Officers made two felony arrests dur ing the past week including: • Loretta Harvey, 41, Rockdale, was arrested by Ofc. Lentz for assault of a peace officer or judge, resisting arrest and criminal trespass o July 18 at 10:42 a.m.

FIRE CALLS

Responded to: • The 4000 block of North FM 487 for a two-vehicle accident on July 16 at 2:06 p.m. • 1201 East Belton for COV burning on July 16 at 3:32 p.m. • 1113 East Cameron Avenue for a low hanging wire on July 18 at 11:49 a.m.

Volunteers to the rescue

A group of volunteers from Milam County collected supplies for the flood ravaged hill country town of Center Point which is about eight miles from Kerrville.

Rockdale Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony for The River Event Center on Friday while a Christmas in July event was going on inside selling everything needed to decorate for Christmas.
