Thorndale council OKs noise variance for new THS site

Chili cook-off moved up to October 4 Thorndale City Council held its regular meeting on Thursday, June 11, a first for interim City Administrator Myron “Mike” Tretheway.

Bulk waste pickup set for July 9

The Cit y of Rockdale will provide bulk waste curbside pickup on Wednesday, July 9. This is for city residents only with a water and/or trash account. Contact City Hall at 512-446-2511 no later than Thursday, July 3 by 4 p.m. to be added to the list.

Artifact ID program ahead for Sugarloaf dig

The Texas Archeological Society will hold a public program and artifact ID from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, June 19 at the Robertson County Fairgrounds Fine Arts Building.

Amateur Radio Club field day ahead June 28

Members of the Milam Amateur Radio Club will participate in the national amateur radio Field Day exercise on Saturday, June 28, 1- 8 p.m. at Veterans Park in Rockdale.

MILAM COUNTY JAIL LOG

Jail log lists all people charges with offenses through the Milam County Jail in Cameron. Charges may change during the process. All persons are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. • Isaiah Thomas Alvarez, 20, of Hulen, evading arrest.

Police make felony arrest for possession

Rockdale police officers recorded one felony arrest over the past week. Nathan Berrera, 42, of Rockdale, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver (between 4 and 200 grams). He was booked into the Milam County Jail on Monday on a $50,000 bond.
