Gause United Methodist Church will recognize and bless area school children, their parents and school staff on Sunday during the worship service that begins at 9:30 a.m. Kids of all ages are encouraged to bring their backpack, lunch pack, helmet, shoes or whatever they want to bring to receive their blessing. The community is invited to participate in this “Blessing of the Backpacks.”

Deadline for turning in the bids will be accepted no later than 5 p.m. Aug. 31.

Wayne and I joined family for the Holdiness Family Reunion last weekend. Had a great time. Lots of good food and visiting with relatives and friends.

Albert Ruddick passed away Friday. We grew up together in Gause.

Marcia and Ray Tamez of Cypress Rose Hill visited Sunday with Leah, Josh and Addyson.

Elizabeth Moore was baptized into Gause Baptist Church Sunday. She is the daughter of Patty Stewart and Lucky Moore.

Also baptized was Cheyenne Servantez. She is the daughter of Jamie Wells.

Gause School fall classes begin Aug. 15 for the 2019-20 year.
