Iremember a story my father shared about the archangels in Heaven, whose duty was to fill the offices where particular types of prayer ascended. The office where prayers of petition came in took several archangels because those prayers outnumbered all others.

Power of praise

“You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in your word.” (Psalm 119:114) Icontinue to be amazed and therefore praise God for the great things I am seeing Him do in my life and the life of His church. There is power in praise. Praising God is part of our worship.

100 YEARS AGO… Rockdale’s first bale of 1926 cotton was brought to town Monday afternoon by O.A. Hennigar, the cotton being grown on his Brushy farm a few miles from town.
