A new Christmas tradition was started in Rockdale for Christmas 2018. “Thanks to the efforts of Ziggy Oliver and Deta Donnelly, Rockdale had ‘Angel Trees’ placed around town to benefit senior citizens,” spokesperson Denice Doss said. “Ninety-eight gifts were given to seniors around Rockdale, due to the generous efforts of Rockdale citizens,” she added. Carolyn Cooper of the Multipurpose (Senior) Center noted: “many of the seniors would not have gotten a gift had it not been for this effort” I would like to thank everyone for their caring spirit.”
