It’s estimated over 1,000 people gathered in the Fair Park area Thursday night for Rockdale’s semi-annual Milam County fireworks display.
Fireworks alternate between Rockdale and Cameron each July 4.
Sponsors are Atmos Energy, Citizens National Bank, Classic Bank, Rockdale Federal Credit Union and Knife River Concrete and Minerals.
Many more watched from parking lots, homes and restaurants throughout the city.
Prior to the show, children enjoyed numerous games and there was plenty of food in an event coordinated by the Rockdale Chamber of Commerce.
Music was provided by the Communities in Concert Band. See page 6A.
