Mary Brown, Emilie Compton, Tim Demeritt, Kaleb Dodd, Kameron Fun-burg, Devonte Jones, Ben King, Kyle King, Tristan Massey, Thomas Matthews, Abby Miller, Antonio Gonzalez, Kalie Poehl, Keaton Popham, Amanda Storey, Christopher Strange, Jeremyah Tafao, Kali Taylor Kaitlyn Telg, Taylor Todd, Jake Turnage, Mason Westbrook, Cordell Spears, Malinda Storey.

They recently performed the play at the regional contest in Corpus Christi.

They advanced from district to bi-district and then to area, and finally to regionals.

It takes tremendous dedication and many hours of hard work to effectively pull off a successful one act play performance and this group nailed it.

GOLF—The district golf tournament took place earlier this month at the golf course in Taylor.

Our boy’s golf team won the district championship. They will be competing in the regional tournament in Corpus Christi this week.

They will be joined by two of our girls who were medalist at district and are competing at regionals as well.

Kaleb Dodd, Coby Doelitsch, Mason Westbrook, Tucker Taylor and Noah Benavides comprise our boy’s team.

Our girls competing at regionals are Faith Walton and Mary Brown. We will compete on Wednesday and Thursday.

TRACK—The district track meet was held in Holland.

Athletes that finished in the top four at district advanced to the Area track meet in Thrall.

The top four finishers at the area meet advance to the regional meet in Kings-ville on Friday and Saturday

Our boys team finished second at district, just missing the district championship.

At the area meet, they captured the team championship.

We will be well represented at the regional track meet with the following students slated to travel to Kingsville later this week.

Representing the girls team are Emma Batten, Jaden Carmichael, Kelaria King, Abby Miller, Lulu Mitchell and Kalie Poehl.

The boys will be represented by Tim Demeritt, Kaleb Dodd, Gus Downey, Devonte Jones, Parker Jones, Kyle King, Ronnie Messer and Chris Sootoo.

SOFTBALL—Our softball team finished up their district schedule Friday by defeating Rosebud-Lott.

With the win, we secured the second place seed in our district as we prepare to enter the playoffs.

In the bi-district round of the playoffs, we will face Flatonia in La Grange Thursday. Come on out and catch some Lady Eagle softball, they are exciting to watch

POSTPONED—Our annual scholarship golf tournament fundraiser, which was scheduled for last Saturday, was postponed because of the weather forecast. A large part of this decision is golf cart rentals. If they are delivered, we have to pay the rental fee even if the weather forces us to cancel.

This makes us have to make the call earlier as opposed to the day of the tournament.
