Twelve people attended the Pleasant Hill Cemetery Organization’s Annual Homecoming lunch and cemetery cleanup on July 14.
The annual cleanup takes place every second Sunday of July and the descendants of those buried at Pleasant Hill Cemetery are invited.
“We’d like that to grow each year,” said Christina Strobo Muñiz, spokesperson for the organization. “The Pleasant Hill Cemetery Organization is looking for other descendants and encouraging those that have family out there to contact the organization via the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Rockdale, Facebook page and to attend the 2020 Homecoming which will be Sunday, July 12, 2020.”
Board members planned to return to the cemetery in the fall to make a plot list and find unknown graves, Muñiz said.
