Milam Community Theater announces its second annual Christmas performance.
The MCT Children’s Theater is presenting “A Suessified Christmas Carol” a twist on the classic Charles Dickens.
Shows are set for 10 a.m., 2 and 5:30 p.m. Dec. 14 and 2 p.m. Dec. 15, all in the Williams Event Center.
The rhyming script features everyone’s favorite Dr. Seuss characters.
There are two casts. Cast A (known as Thing One) is directed by Matthew Tyson. Cast B (known as Thing Two) is directed by Seth Higginbotham. Executive Director: Danyelle Higginbotham.
Producer is Brenda Bobo Sanders.
STORY—The play, written by Peter Bloedel, is a whimsical reinvention of Dickens’ most beloved Christmas story in wacky rhymed couplets.
With zoot fruited juices and binka bird geese, from Bed-Headed Fred to Timmy Loo Hoo, this tale of glorious holiday cheer is similar to something Dr. Seuss might have come up with—if he ever had his way with the story.
The late Dr. Seuss—full name Theodore Seuss Geisl, was, of course the beloved author of more than 60 books, including the enduring Christmas classic “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” which is a holiday tradition on television.
TICKETS—Price is $5 each for all performances.
