School kicks off with prayer walk
Meadowbrook Baptist Church will host a prayer walk 6 p.m., Wednesday.
The walk begins at 1401 Colorado Ave., Rockdale and Thorndale residents should meet at Thorndale school.

Comedian headline church revivals
First Assembly of God in Rockdale will host a four-day revival with evangelist and comedian Rev. Jeremy Brown.
Brown, a Christian comedian who graduated from Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, will be at 310 Childress Drive Aug. 11-14.
Services on Sunday, Aug. 11, begin at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Wednesday services start at 7 p.m.

Tracie L. Davis will be on hand to make Rockdalians laugh in October at Rising Star Baptist Church.
The Christian comedian will be hosting the Jokes for Hope in honor of breast cancer awareness month Oct. 26.
