Halloween happenings at local churches
Peace Lutheran Church—Spook house and Trunk or Treat from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
St. Joseph’s Catholic Church—Trick or Treat for hunger. High School teens will go door to door collecting nonperishable food items for the food pantry at 5:30 in the parking lot.
First Baptist Church—Trunk or Treat in the parking lot from 5-7 p.m.
First Presbyterian Church—Trunk or Treat at 5:30 in the All Saints Pavilion.
First Christian Church—Fall Fest and Spook house from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. They will offer hotdogs and candy.
Classic Car show at
Presbyterian Church
The third annual Classic Car Show and Fall Festival will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov. 26. Entry fee for cars is $20 per vehicle.
There will also be a bake sale, door prixes every hour, BBQ pork sandwiches and music by the Communities in Concert Band. Show awards will be presented at noon.
Proceeds will be donated to Pack Pals/Christmas Round-Up.
Thorndale First Baptist celebrates anniversary
First Baptist Church of Thorndale, 100 Sydney Blvd., is celebrating its 130th anniversary on Nov. 3 with worship at 10:30 a.m. followed by lunch.

Meadowbrook Baptist to hold movie day
Meadowbrook Baptist church invites the community to a showing of the animated film, “The Pilgrim’s Progress” on Sat,. Nov. 2 at 10:00 a.m. in the fellowship hall. Doors open at 9:45 a.m.
The film is intended for ages eight and up. Some scenes may be too intense for younger children. Parents are asked to attend with children under 12.
Contemporary service kick off at First Baptist
First Baptist Church hosts a contemporary service each Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. starting on Wed., Nov. 6.
The service will include contemporary Christian music and a brief sermon by Pastor Matt Higginbotham. The community is invited at attend.
