Rockdale Christian offers ‘Coats for Kids’
Rockdale Christian Church is providing new coats for children in the community “who are not fortunate enough to have good winter clothing,” according to Minister Harry Stevenson.
To qualify, a parent or guardian of a child elementary age or younger should contact the church at 512-446-2568 or 512-734-9155.
“A coat will be ordered once the request has been received and the necessary information has been provided,” Stevenson said.
Springfield Baptist set to celebrate 147th
Springfield Baptist Church is holding its 147th anniversary and homecoming on Sunday, Nov. 17 at 3 p.m.
The speaker will be Bishop Billy Walker from Turning Point Church in Dallas.
All area churches are invited and dinner will be served.
Santa to visit Liberty Community Church
Liberty Community Church near Milano will have a visit from Santa on Sat., Nov. 30 from 3-6 p.m.
All are welcome to attend and there will be cookies and munchies for the children.
Thanksgiving outreach dinner set Nov. 23rd
Rockdale’s annual Thanks-giving outreach dinner is set from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, offering a free meal for all in the community and surrounding areas.
Free delivery is available for the elderly, sick and shut ins.

Peace Lutheran Church slates food drive, sale
Peace Lutheran will be collecting canned goods beginning through Thanksgiving. They will also be selling poinsettias on Nov. 17, Nov. 24 and Dec. 1.
