Rising Star to hold pastoral appreciation
Rising Star Baptist Church will hold its 14th annual Pastoral Appreciation on Sunday, Feb. 27 at 10 a.m. honoring Dr. R.L. and First Lady Margaret Johnson.
Seating is limited due to COVID so a Facebook livestream will be also be avail-able.
Monetary gifts may be mailed to PO Box 125 in Rockdale.
St. Paul to hold BBQ dinner February 13
St. Paul Lutheran Church and School in Thorndale will hold its annual BBQ brisket dinner and live auction fundraiser Sunday, Feb. 13, at the Thorndale Fireman’s Hall on North FM 486.
The meal will be served from 11 a.m to 1 p.m. with dine-in plates available at the door for $12. Desserts will be available for a freewill donation. Plates may also be purchased in the drive-thru to-go line.
Live auction begins at 12:30 p.m.
