Rockda le Chr ist ian Church is starting the mission of distributing bibles to people in Rockdale who do not have a bible or access to one.
The church believes that knowledge of God’s word is necessary for the salvation of the world and our souls. If you are one who believes the same and do not have a bible, call the church at 512-446-2658 and they will try their best to provide you with one.
Pleasant Retreat chili supper set for Sept. 23 Pleasant Retreat Methodist Church will hold their annual chili supper on September 23 from at 5 p.m. with an auction beginning at 6:30 p.m.
The church is located at 852 CR 458 near Thorndale.

Connect Church set to begin Sept. 17th
Connect Church announces the official launch of public worship services every Sunday, starting Sept. 17 at 10:30 a.m. in the Rockdale Elementary School Gym located on Bowser Street.
“We love Rockdale, and Jennifer and I are so glad to be back home and grateful for this opportunity we have been given to be on a great team and help create a place where people from all walks of life can gather together in a simple, casual environment to explore God’s Word and learn what it means to follow Jesus. We love it when people join us on this journey,” said Pastor Ken Ansell.
In addition, he added, “We have a fantastic core group that is ready to host our community, we are family friendly, and we will have a nursery every week. Expect great music, a good cup of coffee, and friends both old and new and a relevant message from God’s Word.”
“Coffee and donuts start at 10:00 a.m. The worship service starts at 10:30 am. Come casual, all are welcome, bring a friend. Connect Church looks forward to being a part of the current fabric of disciple making churches in the area,” Ansell said.
