Wednesday—Red Ribbon Week Daily Theme “Our Future is Too Bright For Drugs,” watch exercise clothes, watch Video “What Is Medicine”; College Colors Day; student early release, 12-noon for parent-teacher conferences; no iTigers.
Thursday–Red Ribbon Week Daily Theme “We Show Our Character and Say ‘No’ to Drugs; admission, review and dismissal meetings; Halloween parties at 2:15 p.m.; no iTigers.
Friday—Red Ribbon week Daily Theme “We teamed Up Against Drugs,” wear school colors; video “What’s a Drug?” 504 meeting.
Reminders—When bringing children to school arrive between 7:30 and 8 a.m. The school’s main door on Belton Avenue will be open. Don’t drop off students at any other location.
When picking up children in afternoon:
• Pre-K students are released on Belton Avenue.
• Kindergarten is released on Bowser Street.
• All walkers will be released following car riders.
• Any changes for your child’s way home must be made by 2:45 p.m.
Note: Parents/guardians entering the building just enter the main entrance on Belton Avenue and report to the office. Please have your photo ID available for school safety reasons.
Free breakfast and lunch is provided for all students at the elementary.
Intermediate
Wednesday—No special classes; Red Ribbon Week College Colors Day; student early release, 12-noon for parent-teacher conferences; no iTigers.
Thursday—All PE classes, skyball tourney; Red Ribbon Week Vocabulary Parade; Halloween parties, 2:15 to 2:45 p.m.; no iTigers.
Friday—Blue Day Music; Red Ribbon Week Daily Theme “School Spirit.” wear blue and gold; gifted/ talented meeting in Room D3, 2 p.m.; last day of second six weeks.
Reminders—Pumpkin Patch canceled; transportation forms must be turned in to the office by 9 a.m. each day. Parents must call the office by 2:15 p.m. when making transportation changes.
Junior-High
Wednesday—Student early release, 12-noon for parent-teacher conferences; no iTigers; department chair meeting, Rockdale High School, 12-noon; seventh-grade writing planning, 2:30 to 4 p.m.
Thursday—Regular schedule; no iTigers.
Friday—Regular schedule; faculty meeting, 7 a.m.’ “Failure is Not an Option,” 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.
RHS
Wednesday—student early release, 12-noon for parent-teacher conferences; no iTigers.
Thursday—Regular schedule; ASVAB for juniors and seniors; cheerleaders visit the MARC Halloween party; no iTigers
Friday—Regular schedule, Rotary Interact meeting, 7:30 a.m., library
Reminders— Students taking the SAT in Rockdale on Saturday need to report to RHS at 7:45 a.m. Use the entrance by the student parking lot. Bring your SAT ticket and student ID or driver’s license. You must have both in order to take the test.
