• Texas Student Housing Scholarship (Seniors): Open to students accepted to colleges in Austin, College Station, or Denton. Deadline is January 31, 2019. http://www.texasstudenthousing.net/.
• Free ESL Classes for parents of iTiger students. Contact Lupe Orozco at 512-429-1762. Registration is required. Limited seats available.
• Seniors are selling $100 fund-raising tickets to raise money for Project Graduation. Winners can receive $10,000, $2,000, or $1,000 (only 300 tickets will be sold). Anyone interested in purchasing a ticket visit with a senior.
• ACT test with writing on Tuesday, April 2. Deadline to register and pay for is Feb.
13. Cost of the test is $57. Fee waivers are not available for ACT school day testing. See Mrs. Ingram to register.
• SAT with essay on April
9. Deadline to register and pay is Feb. 28. Cost of SAT only is $47.50. Cost of the SAT with essay is $64.50. Test fee reductions are available to those who qualify for freeMrs and reduced lunch. See . Ingram to register.
• TSI will be offered to juniors and seniors on Wednesday, Feb. 6 in the library. Cost of the exam is $20. See Mrs. Windham by Feb. 1 to reserve spot.
• Grade-point averages and class rank have been updated in Skyward with the results from fall semester.
Rockdale ISD
• Feb. 12 (Tuesday)—School Health Advisory Council meeting, 4 p.m.
• Feb. 12—Texas Agri-Life Drug and Alcohol Use/Abuse presentation following PTO meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the junior-high commons.
• Parent-Teacher Organization—The PTO is looking for active members and as always forms are available on the RISD website or ask for them at your child’s principal’s office. The next PTO meeting will be held 6 p.m. Feb. 12 in the Rockdale Junior High Commons.
