Hope all of you had a nice Labor Day. Monday was kind of a bad day for a holiday. If you have Saturday, Sunday and Monday off, who wants to get up and go to work on Tuesday?
Believe me, when they say you are too old to work, that’s an insulting remark. Oh, I have to remember the saying “count your blessings.” There are a number of things I hate doing so “old age” is a blessing and a good excuse!
I do not have a school calendar so I have no way to know upcoming events. I’m sure all parents have a calendar.
Gause VFD will sponsor a fish fry on Sept. 18 at the fire station beginning at 4 p.m. The fish is delicious and this fundraiser helps keep a fire station in Gause.
Always remember to help any way you can with activities in Gause. And, instead of driving to Hearne to buy groceries, get them at Coats Grocery. By the time you drive somewhere else to buy what you can in Gause, you haven’t saved a thing. Cars need gas to get you somewhere else.
