Looking at the school calendar, I think I have given updates for several weeks already. There is no need to repeat. And if you are a parent, you already know what is happening for several weeks, especially the STAAR testing. Students do have their minds set to forget (on purpose I’d bet). Lots of fun things will be coming up in April. Delores and Johnny Fisher went to Houston to celebrate the 13th birthday of grandson Rylan Jones which was on March 13. They also celebrated Ratessalyn Ferguson Burton’s birthday on March 23. Breakfast at Frank’s Grill and dinner at Pappadeaux. Richard Burton, LaVerne Rat-cliff, Derrick Ferguson, Janey Young, Sabrina Nelson, Jayden Nelson and friend Jordan were also there. On Saturday, a memorial service was held in Gause for Lorraine (Trease) Standiford. It was a beautiful service. They released balloons into the air. She was the daughter of Mary Francis Lockhart. Do you think it’s time to put away our winter clothes and get ready for spring and summer? Just checked in my closet and there are clothes hanging and as many or more on the closet floor. Wayne will tell you I don’t need any more. And, of course, he’s right, but doesn’t it make us feel good to have something new? It’s just a “woman thing.”
