—Temple businessman, and Texas legend, Drayton McLane Jr. (left) recently receive the Golden Trowell award from Milam County San Andres Masonic Lodge No. 170. It is the highest award a lodge can bestow upon an individual member. McLane, a Cameron native and 1954 Yoe High graduate, has maintained his lodge membership through the years. He and his father, the late Drayton McLane Sr., are the only father and son to ever serve as Worshipful Master in the San Andres Lodge. The Milano Fire Station/Shelter is named for McLane, who was a major benefactor.
