BUTTONS—Here are Abby Miller’s Button Ornament Instructions, This project is very simple, but it does take some time.
Supplies: Three packages of pearl push pins, buttons in a variety of colors and sizes. (You can do any color combination to go with your tree) and styrofoam ball in a size you prefer for your tree.
Paint the ball before starting to avoid white showing through.
Pin two buttons for every pin. A bigger one on the bottom with a smaller different colored button on top. Continue until the ball is completely covered.
Try to keep the buttons as close together as possible and sometimes overlap a few to cover up as much of the white ball as possible. Also use tiny buttons to fill in any holes between buttons.
Attach a polka dot ribbon and tie a bow for hanging. Use super-glue or hot glue under the ribbon to make sure it stays in place.
