On Saturday afternoon, Milam County neighbors Thorndale and Milano played at MHS, where the Lady Dogs took down the Lady Eagles in three straight sets, 25-22, 26-24, 25-20.
Thorndale was led by Kyndal Robinson, who had 11 kills, 7 assists, 5 digs and 1 ace while Abby Dickerson who had 8 assists, 2 aces and 1 dig.
Other individual stats for Thorndale were: Hadley Meadors 6 assists, 2 aces, 5 digs; Raeghan Carlson 2 kills, 1 aces, 4 digs; Natale Garcia 7 digs; Natalie Newton 5 kills, 4 digs; Kassidy Eubanks 1 kill; Emily Reeves 1 kill; Tristyn Buchanan 1 kill; Makaelyn Frei 1 assists, 3 digs; Kinley Meadors 7 kills, 2 assists; Landri Martinka 2 assists, 3 digs.
MILANO— The Lady Eagles faced Rosebud-Lott after press time and begin district play on Friday, when they host Snook at 4 p.m.
THORNDALE— The Lady Dogs also played on Tuesday after press time against Jewett-Leon at home. They also begin district play this week when they head to Holland on Saturday afternoon.
First set is scheduled for 3 p.m.
